TWO WEEKS VALUE ADDED COURSE
Two Weeks Value added Course on Research Methodology & Clinical Trials:
Department of statistics had organized Two Weeks Value added Course on Research Methodology & Clinical Trials to the students of I Semester (AY 2021-2022). The program is conducted every day after the regular class work is over. The duration of the class is adjusted for one or two hours between the periods 5.7.2022 to 16.7.2022. 24 students Participated in the program. Students were guided and provided the necessary study material. At the end of the programme a grand test was conducted and it was evaluated. Certificates were issued to the participants. Mr. K. Two Weeks Value added Course on statistical data analysis using SPSS
Department of statistics had organized Two Weeks Value added Course on statistical data analysis using SPSS to the students of IV semester (AY 2020-2021). The program is conducted after the regular class work is over. The duration of the class is adjusted for one or two hours between the periods 27.06.2022 to 11.07.2022. 16 students Participated in the program. Students were guided and provided the necessary study material. At the end of the programme a grand test was conducted and it was evaluated. Certificates were issued to the participants. Dr. Chandramouli V Sastry is the resource person.
World Planting Day
on the occasion of World Planting Day i.e, March 21st in Krishna University Dr. MR Appa Row College of PG Studies NSS Units- I and II are organized an event on tree plantation. The Principal and Prof. K.Pushpanjali, Head, Department of Statistics, Sri Krishnadevarya University, Anatapuramu, A.P. as a Guests planted near Library. All staff and students were present and planted plants in the ground.

Total Number of Participants in Online 1400 and University UG and PG College students participation Offline 600.
Workshop August-2023: A workshop on “Hands on training in statistical tools” was held on 11-08-2023 at Krishna University, Dr MR Appa Row College of PG Studies, Nuzvid. Workshop organised by Department of Statistics for Post Graduate and Under Graduate students from different colleges. This workshop aimed at training students in PowerBI and Tableau.
Total 70 members participated from Department students and Krishna University affiliated colleges of Andhra Loyola College, K.B.N College, Sri Krishnaveni Degree College, Sri Srinivasa Degree College, P.B. Sidhhartha College in the workshop. Participation Certificates were handedover to the students at the end of the workshop.
Condolence Meet for Prof. C R Rao
Calyampudi Radhakrishnan Rao, 102, among the world’s most eminent statisticians, and who spent nearly all of his professional career in India, died on Wednesday in the United States. Department of Statistics, Krishna University Dr.MRAR College of PG Studies, Nuzvid officials, faculty, staff, and students offered floral tributes to Prof CR Rao. Prof. M. V. Basaveswara Rao, Principal, Dr. Chandramouli V Sastry, Coordinator, Mr. K.Avinash, Ms.D.Teja Swetha and other department faculty members shared their thoughts, expressed their experiences and close association with Prof. CR Rao. As a mark of respect, 2 minutes of silence was observed.

Seminar September- 2023: A Seminar on “Statistical Analysis Software (SAS) Programming” language to M.Sc., Statistics Students and near Degree College Statistics students was held on 16-09-2023 at Krishna University, Dr MR Appa Row College of PG Studies, Nuzvid. Seminar organised by Department of Statistics for Post Graduate and Under Graduate students from different colleges. In this seminar resource person is Mr. Umasankar from Dimensionality Software services, Aditya Trade Center, Ameerpet, Hyderabad. He tell about the software, some examples were shown, gives an idea about the job opportunities, interact with the participants and doubts were clarified.
