The Department of Applied Mathematics is one of the oldest Departments of theDr. MRAR PG Centre, Nuzvid which was established in year 1977. The mission of the Department is to contribute to evaluation and enrichment of Mathematical education, applicable in various walks of life through disciplined Research, Teaching and constant collaboration with institutes and offices etc.,
The Department started with two years M.Sc. Applied Mathematics programme with an intake of 30 students and enhanced to 40 at a later stage. The Department started offering two years M.Sc. Mathematics programme from the academic year 2014-15 with an intake of 40 students.This Department admits the students based on the ranks obtained in the Common Entrance Test (KRUCET).
The alumni of the department placed in various reputed educational institutions, research laboratories and various Government departments.
